SOUTH SALT LAKE — A man is in custody after shots were fired on Saturday night.

At approximately 8:58 p.m., South Salt Lake police were dispatched on a call of shots fired in the area of 900 W. Timbercreek Way. After arriving on the scene, they discovered a man who had sustained gunshot wounds, according to South Salt Lake police officer Shaun Ward.

The male was transported to the hospital in stable condition, while the male suspect, believed to be 30 to 40 years old, was taken into custody, Ward said.

The shooting is believed to be an isolated incident, and there is no threat to the public. The incident is currently under investigation, Ward said.
