SALT LAKE CITY -- An elementary school teacher from Park City has won a national award.
Melissa Bott from McPolin Elementary was one of 70 teachers to be awarded the Milken Educator Award this weekend in Los Angeles.
Bott is a reading specialist at the school.
Along with the award she received a $25,000 check.
First presented in 1987, the Milken Educator Awards represent the largest teacher recognition program in the U.S., having bestowed more than 2,300 exceptional educators with $60 million in unrestricted cash awards.
