LAYTON — A Layton woman was charged Thursday with exchanging nude pictures with a 14-year-old boy.
Sierra Lace Knox, 26, is charged in 2nd District Court with sexual exploitation of a minor, a second-degree felony, and two counts of dealing in harmful materials to a minor, a third-degree felony.
Knox sent nude pictures of herself to a 14-year-old, according to charging documents. Investigators said they were also able to recover deleted text messages from Sept. 12 between the boy and Knox.
A search warrant affidavit filed in 2nd District Court describes Knox as a friend of the boy's family. Detectives believe she sent the boy two nude images within an hour of each other, and then requested that the boy send her a picture, the warrant states.
The activity was discovered by the boy's mother going through her son's phone, according to the warrant.
