SALT LAKE CITY — The Rescue Mission of Salt Lake announced it would hold an Easter Banquet on Saturday at Pioneer Park for people experiencing homelessness. The event, held the day before Easter at the north end of Pioneer Park from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., will include hot food, recovery services, and Easter egg hunt and carnival games, the Mission said. "Hope and a Restored Life often start with meeting basic life necessities like a nutritious meal and a reason to celebrate. This is the Rescue Mission of Salt Lake goal in hosting the Rise, Renew and Rejoyce Easter Banquet for our homeless and hurting community," the Rescue Mission of Salt Lake said in a press release. "Come join us!" The Rescue Mission will also give out warm clothes and shoes, and offer free haircuts and nail painting. The Easter egg hunt for children is set to take place at 12:30 p.m.
