(KSL News) Two people wanted for questioning in the death of a Cape Coral, Fla., man were found in Utah.

Midvale police say Jonathan Lebaron and Kristena Whitmore were picked up at a motel Saturday, Feb. 21, around 6:30 p.m.

They were arrested on outstanding warrants and local charges, but no other details were released.

The two are wanted for questioning by the Monroe County Sheriff's Office in Florida for the death of 57-year-old Richard Gardner of Cape Coral, Fla.

The FBI found Gardner dead aboard his boat on Stock Island, near Key West on Feb. 13 after his wife reported him missing.

The night before Gardner was found, a couple, believed to be Lebaron and Whitmore, were stopped in Tennessee driving Gardner's car.

The two were let go despite having no ID and facial injuries consistent with a fight.

Police say Lebaron is homeless but from Utah. Whitmore is from Oregon.
