SALT LAKE CITY -- Prosecutors have filed charges against a woman accused of attacking a Utah Highway Patrol trooper.
Lisa Parker, 41, faces charges of aggravated assault, assault against a peace officer and interfering with a police service animal.
The highway patrol says a trooper confronted Parker Saturday in Salt Lake City when she tried to leave a motel parking lot on 1800 West and North Temple in a stolen vehicle. She fought back, punching and biting the trooper and eventually stunning him with his own Taser.
When an officer and a dog showed up, Parker fought the dog, too, before a trooper used a Taser on her and arrested her.
Court records show Parker has been in and out of jail for drug possession and DUI and was going to be sentenced for shoplifting.
