WEST LIBERTY, W.Va. (AP) — West Liberty University's tuition and fees will increase 4.5 percent for the 2015-2016 academic year.

Interim President John McCullough says the increase is the second-lowest among four-year public institutions in the state.

Calculated on a semester basis, the tuition increase amounts to about $145 for in-state students. The standard tuition for a full year will be $6,700 for West Virginia residents.

Room and board will be $8,810 annually. The room charge is unchanged, while meal plans are increasing by $60 and the cable Internet fee is going up by $20 per semester.
