WILDER, Idaho (AP) — Police are looking for a southwest Idaho man accused of shooting and killing his wife before fleeing to Oregon where he abandoned his vehicle.
Police say 51-year-old Erasmo Alcala Diaz shot and killed his 39-year-old wife at about 11 p.m. Thursday in Wilder.
Police in Oregon found his vehicle a few hours later in Adrian, just across the border from Idaho.
Authorities say police responded to a report of shots fired at a residence on Thursday and found the woman gravely injured. Police have not released her name.
Police say emergency responders attempted lifesaving measures but the woman died of her injuries.
