BUTLER, Pa. (AP) — Authorities say a driver has been hurt, but a sleeping resident is OK after a car ran off a rural road and smashed into a duplex in western Pennsylvania.
Police have yet to release the names of either person involved, but say the incident happened before 5 a.m. in Center Township, Butler County. That's about 30 miles north of Pittsburgh.
Police say the car drove off Route 308, down a hill and then was airborne when it hit a rear roof of the back of the duplex.
The sleeping woman inside thought she heard an explosion and called 911.
The driver has been flown to a Pittsburgh hospital with unspecified injuries.
