DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) - Authorities say five bodies have been recovered from the remains of a house fire in northeast Iowa.
Records Clerk Lisa Eberhart with the Fayette County Sheriff's Office says Sheriff Martin Fisher confirmed a fifth body was found Friday afternoon.
The Fayette County Sheriff's Office says it received a call at 3:35 a.m. about a home on fire near the small city of Arlington, about 125 miles northeast of Des Moines.
Several fire crews responded and found the house fully engulfed in flames. Authorities released photos from the scene that showed the property completely burned and destroyed.
Additional information has not been released about the cause of the fire.
