ATLANTA (AP) — Mercedes-Benz USA CEO Steve Cannon says the company's corporate headquarters will be located in suburban Atlanta.

Cannon joined Georgia Gov. Nathan Deal and other officials at a ceremony Tuesday at the state Capitol. Mercedes-Benz officials announced in January that the car manufacturer would relocate its U.S. headquarters from New Jersey to Georgia. But a specific location wasn't clear. The headquarters will be located in Sandy Springs, Georgia.

Cannon says a human resources office opened on Tuesday and the company plans to begin operations from a temporary location. Employees will begin relocating to Georgia in June.

Deal has said the company is expecting to create at least 800 jobs and invest about $74 million in its facility.
