HILO, Hawaii (AP) — A Hawaii man who is accused of sexually assaulting a minor in Idaho in 2003 will not fight extradition. The Hawaii Tribune-Herald reports that 57-year-old Stephen Reiling has signed papers allowing him to be transferred from Hilo Circuit Court to Bonner County in northern Idaho. Authorities have been looking for Reiling since 2011 when he was accused of assaulting an 8-year-old girl.
LAS VEGAS (AP) — Backers of Nevada rancher Cliven Bundy are promising a show of support outside a federal courthouse where he's facing charges related to an armed standoff against federal agents two years ago. Bundy's wife and other family members and friends say an organized demonstration before today's court appearance in Las Vegas aims to show they're keeping up their fight against the federal government.
COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho (AP) — Police say a fugitive wanted by Idaho authorities for wounding a church pastor apparently wrote a bizarre manifesto contending that Martians controlled the Earth. Kyle Odom was arrested by U.S. Secret Service agents after allegedly throwing items over the fence at the White House. A Coeur d'Alene Police Detective says Odom had attended Pastor Tim Remington's church a few times. He said Odom was apparently the author of a manifesto that contended the pastor was a Martian.
BOISE, Idaho (AP) — A Parma farmer has pleaded not guilty to charges that he tried to lure ducks into shooting range using corn. The Idaho Statesman reports that federal law makes it illegal to use seeds or grain to lure waterfowl for hunting unless the seed or grain was already there from normal agricultural harvesting. The law is meant to protect the birds from overharvesting.
