LAS VEGAS (AP) — E-commerce giant EBay is planning to invest $412 million to expand operations in Nevada.

Vegas Inc. reports (http://bit.ly/1lj0PD0 ) that the company is waiting for the approval of tax abatements in Clark and Storey counties. If approved, the company plans to purchase serves and hire 52 new employees.

EBay's expansion of its data operations presence in Nevada has been in the works for some time, but details weren't previously available. Las Vegas data company Switch confirmed this year that eBay would be a tenant in its $1 billion facility near Reno.

In its incentive application, eBay said its total investment in Clark County would be $182 million.

The Governor's Office of Economic Development is scheduled to review eBay's abatement applications on Nov. 19.
