ITHACA, N.Y. (AP) — The president of a Massachusetts-based investment firm has donated $25 million to a Cornell University business graduate school.

Cornell officials say David Breazzano (bree-ZAH'-noh), a 1980 graduate of the Ivy League school, has made the donation to the university's Samuel Curtis Johnson Graduate School of Management. The funds will support a new state-of-the-art, six-story classroom and office building under construction in Ithaca's Collegetown, adjacent to the Cornell campus.

Breazzano is the co-founder of Waltham, Massachusetts-based DDJ Capital Management. He earned his MBA from the Johnson School and serves as chairman of its advisory council.

College officials say his donation is among the largest ever made to business education at Cornell.

University officials announced the gift Monday night at an event in New York City.
