MIAMI & SAO PAULO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Apr 1, 2014--(ARHMF), a law firm in Miami, announced today that Latin Lawyer magazine selected the $882.8 million acquisition of Miami-based City National Bank of Florida by Banco de Crédito e Inversiones(Bci), represented by ARHMF, as the 2013 “Deal of the Year” for Outbound Investment. City National Bank of Florida’s nearly $5 billion in assets make it one of the largest community banks in Florida.

ARHMF represented Bci, the third largest private bank in Chile, in the acquisition, and ARHMF continues to represent Bci in the pending regulatory approval from the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System. Bci’s acquisition of City National Bank of Florida would represent the first time a financial institution based in Chile acquires a financial institution based in the United States.
