It has become the biggest thing since Ali vs. Frazier (at least in the state of Utah) and if you listen closely to what is being said you might think you were watching World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE).

But, it’s not and in fact let me introduce you to the competitors.

In this corner, we have the man that is king of the mid-days on KSL Newsradio and heard on many stations across the United States.

He’s from New York, New York and is only 45 years old.

He sports salt and pepper hair and hasn’t ever seen a microphone that he didn’t like talking in.

Here he is. Big, bad, Sean “The Interrupter” Hannity.

In the other corner.

He’s the mayor of Salt Lake City but, with how he acts you might think he wasn’t the mayor but the governor of Utah.

He has a law degree from George Washington University.

He ran unsuccessfully for congress in 1996 and has had a failed marriage.

Here he is. Ross C. “Rocky” Anderson.

Who actually knows if both sides will come to terms on a debate. But, I must admit it is wildly entertaining to listen to both banter back and forth regarding President Bush and the Iraq war. Also, I wonder if Michael Buffer would be willing to be the ring announcer, I mean the conductor of the debate. Honestly, if both sides continue the back and forth bantering Vince McMahon may just knock on their doors to offer them an appearance at Wrestlemania.

What’s your opinion? Will Hannity and Rocky ever come to terms on a debate? If so, who should moderate such a debate? Or is it just a matter of both sides keeping their names in the spotlight?
