PROVO, Utah (AP) -- State officials are looking for the best uses for Utah Lake -- even if it means simply leaving it alone.
The state Division of Forestry, Fire and State Lands' solicitation for ideas was prompted by a recent proposal to build a bridge across the lake.
Division spokesman Jason Curry says state officials are now searching for the "highest and best" use for the lake.
Anyone can submit a development proposal -- or a plea to do nothing with the lake -- but it'll cost $300. Curry says that's to cover administrative costs.
Proposals are due March 31. Analysis of the ideas could take several months.
