WEST VALLEY CITY -- Students at West Valley City's Redwood Elementary School are warming the hearts of patients at University Hospital's burn unit. The children made blankets.

"We'd have Friday Lunch Bunch. We'd get together, we'd make the blankets during our lunch recesses, and we worked really hard on them," said Donovan Fail, a student at Redwood Elementary.

Doctors and nurses say the blankets comfort the burn victims, especially when they know they were handmade by students in the valley.
