LOGAN -- Police are searching for a thief caught in the act, more than once, but never arrested. Logan detectives say he is using college life to trick some of his victims.
The man has been caught six times inside apartments he's suspected of burglarizing, and he has convinced the victims each time he knows someone living there.
Police say it's happening to students with roommates, but it shouldn't be happening at all.
"He's going into apartments that are unlocked," says Logan police Capt. Jeff Curtis.
He says the burglar is going after easy-money items like televisions, gaming systems and iPods.
"If there's wallets or purses laying around, he's taking cash out of those as well," Curtis says.
Police have some good leads, and they're circulating fliers on campus to warn people. There is a $500 reward.
