SALT LAKE CITY -- A Utah family had something to celebrate Saturday. Their daughter, who they adopted from Haiti, is finally home.

It was an emotional welcome home Saturday night for the Wardle family. Jeremy Wardle spent the past week in Haiti trying to retrieve his 7-year-old daughter, Gabrielle.

He received help from Utah Haiti Relief, a team of Washington County pilots and other search and rescue volunteers who helped him reach the orphanage and get his daughter out.

In all, Wardle helped 21 orphans get home to their adoptive parents.

"She can finally be a kid. She's taken care of all these little babies, now she can finally be a kid," Wardle said.

Sunday night on KSL 5 News at 10 p.m., we'll bring you the Wardle family's story, including exclusive video from Haiti of Jeremy's remarkable journey and the heroes who helped them bring their daughter home.
