SALT LAKE CITY -- Police finally caught the man suspected of robbing pizza stores all over the valley.

Police believe he was also responsible for a robbery Sunday morning at a Beans & Brews Coffee House on 5608 S. 900 East in Murray.

Victor Hall's luck ran out Sunday. He was arrested at an Econolodge on North Temple in Salt Lake City.

"There's been a lot of hard work by a lot of agencies so we're very pleased he's in custody at this point," said Lt. Cal Kunz with the Salt Lake City Police Department.

Police said they suspect Hall is the culprit in close to 10 armed robberies throughout the valley, all in the last week and a half.

Among the places robbed -- a Little Caesars, a Pizza Hut, a Papa John's, a Sconecutter and the Beans & Brew Coffee House.

"That's very possible. That's still preliminary. Right now we don't know," said Officer Steve Sanderson with the Murray City Police Department. "We're going to do a photo lineup with the victims, see if there's any similarities and see if they can identify him."

Police said a man who fits Hall's description walked into the coffee house around 8:10 a.m. After going to the restroom, he came out to the counter and pointed what looked like a gun under his sweatshirt.

"He was kind of quiet. He seemed really nervous and a little bit hesitant," said Benny Shell, a Beans & Brew employee. "He asked for the cash, then he said ‘this is a robbery, don't turn it into a murder.'"

After Shell emptied the register, the suspect demanded more cash from the safe.

After the thief got his money, he came out to a getaway car and drove away, but a regular customer followed him and got a good vehicle description.

Several hours later, police got a tip that Hall was staying in a motel at 715 W. North Temple.

"We arrived. We started to set up containment of the motel. At that time, fortunately, the suspect exited and we were able to take him into custody without incident," said Kunz.

The Salt Lake City Police Department had help from the FBI and the U.S. Marshals in making the arrest.

Murray City police arrested a woman they said is Hall's partner in crime, Tamara Elfstrom. She was arrested at another motel in Midvale last week.

Police said Hall was driving a stolen car. They did not say what they found in Hall's motel room.
