Alex Cabrero Reporting Eisenhower Junior High School in Taylorsville was in lockdown this afternoon after students saw other students with weapons inside.

Some students thought that there was supposed to be a fight today between two of the students. But, that fight never did take place.

Reports of a gun sighting may have just been a rumor.

Police from at least two agencies responded and searched the school. At last report, they had not found a gun. But an officer with the Taylorsville Police Department told us they did find a knife.

No injuries were reported, but two students are in custody.

Students were released to go home once the search was complete, particularly of 9th-graders' lockers.

Lt. Rosie Rivera, Taylorsville Police Dept.: "All this information came from witnesses. We have taken two suspects into custody. We have recovered a knife. We have not located a gun at this time."

This was a textbook example of students taking the right actions. When they saw something they thought was suspicious, they went to their teachers, who went to police. So everything worked out well.

We'll keep you posted if police find anything more.
