SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- Parts of Utah are finally breathing a little easier.

An inversion that kept polluted air pinned near the base of the Wasatch Front for days has begun to weaken, allowing some of the region's haze to dissipate.

The Utah Division of Air Quality on Wednesday lifted health advisories for Salt Lake, Davis, Weber and Utah counties.

Northern Utah's Cache County remains under a "red" air alert.

State officials are still urging residents in all five counties to limit their driving because cars are a significant contributor to the area's air pollution.
