LOGAN -- A murder trial was cut short Monday morning when a man charged with killing his ex-girlfriend took a plea deal.
Robert Ferretti pleaded guilty to first-degree murder in the shooting death of Tiffany Jarmon.
A fisherman found Jarmon's body near the Logan River in November of 2008. Police arrested Ferretti four months later after investigators found Jarmon's blood in his SUV.
In exchange for his plea, prosecutors dropped an obstruction of justice charge. Ferretti will be sentenced in February.
