UTAH COUNTY -- Many people in northern Utah County woke up to feel a small earthquake early Tuesday morning.
Seismologists at the University of Utah say the 2.9 magnitude quake was centered 4 miles northwest of Saratoga Springs.
Calls and e-mails to KSL reported what seemed like a much larger event.
"Our whole house started shaking and the stuff on the TV came down. It woke me up immediately," Robert Tuttle of Eagle Mountain said.
Becky Williams of Lehi said her husband thought a car had hit their house.
"I could still feel the bed shaking - like a jolt," Williams said.
No damage has been reported from the quake.
It was the third earthquake in Utah in the past month. Monday, a 4.1 quake struck near Cedar City. A 2.8 magnitude earthquake hit near Magna on Dec. 23.
