(KSL News) The House gives its OK to a measure that "clearly" outlaws illegal gambling in Utah.
The bill says no money or anything else of value can be charged for players to get in or win card games, tournaments or bingo. The bill also states that people would be allowed to play poker or a bingo game -- they just couldn't pay to do it.
Utah is one of only two states that has such a hard stance against gambling.
The bill now goes to the Senate for consideration.
