PARK CITY, Utah (AP) -- The party list is shrinking for the next Sundance Film Festival.
A Hollywood agent who maintains a list of party venues says the list for January's festival is seven pages long. It was 12 pages last year.
Christopher Ryan blames it on a tough economy.
Ryan -- owner of the Hollywood marketing and talent management company Oceanside Entertainment -- says several event planners are skipping out this year. Also taking a pass are several "gifting lounges" and other party spaces, including the so-called Hollywood Life House.
Also, the Queer Lounge, a Sundance hangout for gay and lesbian filmmakers, won't have a lounge this time. And TromaDance, the mini-festival staged by schlock-horror label Troma Film Studios, is staying home in New Jersey.
