WEST VALLEY CITY -- A 14-year-old girl was hit by a car in West Valley City Tuesday morning.
Police say the girl was on her way to school at Kennedy Junior High at 4575 W. 4800 South around 6:45 a.m. That's well before crossing guards were out and before school speed limits were being enforced.
She was thrown onto the hood of the car when she was hit. She suffered a broken arm.
Officers are still investigating the crash and have not said if speed was a factor or if the driver will be charged.
