Recently the popular website MSN.com ranked the best places to live with emphasis on the most affordable housing markets in the largest 100 U.S. metro areas.

The Ogden-Clearfield area was seventh on that list.

The MSN report notes that, "if you love the outdoors, and are looking for an inexpensive place to raise a family, the Ogden area just might be the place for you."

The report notes that the economy here in Utah is in good shape with a growing mix of technology, education and tourism jobs.

Of course, outdoor recreation also catches a lot of attention with the Greatest Snow on Earth readily available as well as an extensive trail system for hikers, bikers and cross-country skiers.

Ogden and Clearfield were praised as safe and healty places to live, with low crime rates and high longevity among its residents.
