LOGAN, Utah (AP) -- Utah State's Jaycee Carroll is the Western Athletic Conference player of the week.

Carroll is a 6-foot- 2, 175-pound junior guard.

He led Utah State to two victories last week -- a 75-to-62 home win against New Mexico State and a 75-to-66 win at Idaho.

Carroll had a career-high 44 points along with 10 rebounds in the game against New Mexico State.

The 44 points are tied for the fourth-most by any player in the nation this year -- and the most by a WAC player in eight years.

Against the Idaho Vandals, Carroll had 28 points and eight rebounds

This is the third WAC player of the week honor for Carroll.
