A Deputy pulled over a car on I-15, that's when he smelled marijuana. The deputy asked for identification, and the driver, Ralph G. Lyle, took off.
UHP spiked the vehicle's tires and Lyle pulled over. He tried to run on foot but was tackled and taken into custody.
Officials searched the vehicle and found 250 pounds of marijuana, worth about $500,000, in the trunk.
