PROVO -- Provo police are looking for the gunmen who held up a convenience store late Monday night and stole cash from a clerk.

The two robbers got away with what police say was a relatively small amount of cash, but they left behind digital images of themselves involved in the crime.

The holdup happened just after 10 p.m. at the Walker's convenience store near 900 West Center St. in Provo. Police say the two men walked in and when the clerk came in from a backroom, they immediately made it clear it was a robbery.

One of the men, who spoke with what the clerk described as a Spanish accent, demanded money and lifted up his shirt to show what he had a handgun in his waistband. She complied with the demand and handed over the money, and the robbers quickly ran away.

Provo police Capt. Cliff Argyle said, "One did most of the talking -- the one with the firearm -- he's the one who demanded the money and did most of the talking. The second one stood by the door and acted as a lookout to see if anyone was coming."

Surveillance photos show the suspects. Both are described as being in their late teens or early 20s. One is about 5 feet 7 inches and 160 pounds. The other is 5 feet 2 inches and about 130 pounds.

One was wearing a black ski mask, and the other had a dark bandana over his face with a blue, straight brim baseball hat.

Police say they have not had any similar robberies in recent weeks and are looking for possible suspects in this case. You can call Provo police if you have any information.
