CALF UPDATE
An update this morning on Star, the calf born with two faces and the star of the Cutting Room Floor... died on Friday.
Despite a malformed mouth with one upper jaw and two lower jaws, Star was able to feed from a bottle.
She had reached 80 pounds, and seemed in good health.
While her owner didn't want to put Star on display while she was alive... he has no reservations after her death.
She was sent to a New York taxidermist to be prepared for display in one of the Ripley's Believe It or Not museums.
FAKE ATTACK
An 80-year-old Maine woman watching the Super Bowl alone... faked a heart attack to scare off a man who had broken into her home.
The woman was watching the game when she spotted the man and asked him what he was doing.
He grabbed her from behind and began pushing her toward the bedroom.
That's when she pretended to have a heart attack and told the intruder her heart medication was in her car in the garage.
He helped her get the meds... then took off.
The 45-year old suspect, who turns out to be a convicted sex offender from Alabama... was arrested a short time later.
URBAN LEGEND
There's Keith Urban the country singer and there's Keith Urban the painter... and the singer wants the painter to pay up.
Urban the singer claims Urban the painter's Web site infringes trademark and cyber-squatting laws.
The painter uses Keith Urban-dot-com to advertise his oil paintings.
The singing Urban... Keith Urban-dot-net.
The singing Urban wants the painter's site shut down, its domain name transferred to his ownership and unspecified damages.
HONEST CABBIE
31 diamond rings left in a taxi cab in New York.
Your first reaction?
Kiss those diamonds goodbye, right?
Not so fast.
The taxi driver tracked down the passenger, who had left him a 30-cent tip for an 11-dollar fair... and returned all the rings.
The woman, who was a jeweler, gave the cabbie a 100- dollar reward, which he took to offset lost fares as he tracked her down.
The cabbie, a native of Bangladesh, said he never considered keeping the gems.
Quote: "I'm not going to take someone else's money or property to make me rich. I don't want it that way."
