WEST VALLEY CITY -- Police are looking for two men who kidnapped another man and took his money to buy drugs in West Valley City Saturday.

Police said around 4:30 a.m., a 19-year-old man pulled up to the Maverick at 4692 S. 4800 West. Police said he was supposed to be meeting a friend, but when he stepped out of his car he was approached by two other men.

"They asked him if he had drugs, which he said he did not," said Sgt. Bill Merritt with the West Valley City Police Department. "One of them punched him in the face. They forced him back into his own car where they told him to close his eyes and not open them."

The suspects then drove away with the victim. He told police the men took his money and headed to another area to buy drugs.

They later dropped him off in the street near 4800 West and 3500 South about an hour later.

The two suspects took off with the victim's 2000 Ford Mustang.
