CEDAR CITY, Utah (AP) -- Southern Utah University has marked at bit of school sports history over the weekend, retiring for the first time a Thunderbird athlete's number.

The honor goes to Myndee Larsen, a 6-foot-5 center who played women's basketball for SUU from 1993 to 1998. Her No. 00 was raised to the rafters of Centrum Arena in a ceremony last night.

Larsen says the experience was surreal.

While playing for S-U-U, Larsen set program records for field goals (707), rebounds (913), blocked shots (251) and field goal percentage (.632). She also set four single-season records and a pair of NCAA records, making 28 consecutive shots during a single four-game stretch. Larsen also shot .724 percent from the floor during her senior season.
