A pair of Cougars were in line for conference commendations this morning, and the league has honored both BYU seniors:

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Max Hall and Jan Jorgensen (BYU), Andy Dalton (TCU) and Brandon Geyer (Air Force) are Mountain West Conference Players of the Week for games through Nov. 7. Hall and Dalton share Offensive Player of the Week honors, while Jorgensen garners the Defensive Player award and Geyer receives Special Teams recognition. This marks the fourth player of the week honor for Hall this season (eighth career) and second season/career accolade for Dalton. Jorgensen earns his second career award, while Geyer picks up his first.
CO-OFFENSIVE PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
MAX HALL, BYU Senior, Quarterback, Mesa, Ariz./Arizona State Max Hall completed 20-of-22 passes with no interceptions for 312 yards and a season-high four touchdowns while rushing for an additional 30 yards in just over two quarters of action in BYU's 52-0 win at Wyoming. The senior quarterback's 90.9 completion percentage set a new league single-game record while falling just shy of Steve Sarkisian's school-record 91.2 percent against Fresno State in 1995. Hall led the Cougars to scores on each of the seven possessions he played during the game before heading to the sidelines midway through the third quarter. In addition to averaging 14.2 yards per pass attempt, the Mesa, Ariz., product averaged 6.0 yards on the ground. Hall converted 16-of-17 pass attempts in the first half and connected with seven different receivers in the game overall.
ANDY DALTON, TCU Junior, Quarterback, Katy, Texas/Katy HS Andy Dalton totaled 283 yards of offense and four touchdowns in No. 4 TCU's 55-12 win at San Diego State. The junior quarterback completed 14-of-20 passes for 239 yards and two scores with no interceptions while running for an additional 44 yards and two touchdowns on five carries. Dalton, who left the game late in the third quarter, averaged 17.1 yards per pass attempt and 8.8 yards per carry. All four of the Katy, Texas, native's scoring efforts took place in the opening 31:38 of the contest, including three which occurred as he guided the Horned Frogs to touchdowns on five of their first six possessions.
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
JAN JORGENSEN, BYU Senior, Defensive Lineman, Helper, Utah/Carbon HS Jan Jorgensen helped BYU's defense pitch a 52-0 shutout at Wyoming with a team-leading six tackles, including 1.5 sacks (-15 yards). The senior defensive lineman from Helper, Utah, led a Cougar effort that forced three Cowboy turnovers and limited Wyoming to 113 yards passing and 112 yard rushing.
