We learned this morning from ABC news that the Fort Hood shooter, Major Nadal Hasan, was trying to make contact with Al Quaida. Hasan used electronic means, unsuccessfully, to contact a terrorist cell. Being unsucessful, Hasan was 'self-radicalizing." It is the belief of investigators that he acted alone last week. We learned more this morning from ABC's Brian Ross. An imam in Virginia called Hasan a hero this weekend for the lives he took and injuries he inflicted. We also learned that Hasan would frequently say that he was a Muslim first and an American second. Click here to hear more from Brian Ross.

The House passed health care reform over the weekend. We spoke with Political Guru Steve Roberts this morning. He explained that many congressmen decided not to let the perfect be the enemy of the good. Steve said that it was loyalty to party and president that won the day, and that is the strategy they will be using in the Senate. While the bill is not dead on arrival, it is going to be a tough go for Democrats in the Senate. Click here to hear Steve's analysis.
