White Chicken Chili
2 - 3 lbs. chicken breasts, boiled & shredded
3 - 4 15-oz. cans Great Northern white beans, undrained
2 14-oz. cans chicken broth
1 - 2 4-oz cans chopped green chilies (up to 4 cans if you like more flavor)
1 Tbsp. dried minced onion
2 tsp. garlic powder
2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. cumin
2 tsp. oregano,br> 1 tsp. black pepper
2 Tbsp. butter
2 cups sour cream
1 cup milk (can also use half & half or whipping cream) shredded white cheese (any variety for topping)
1) Pour all ingredients except sour cream and milk into a large pot. Cover and bring to a slow boil.
2) Add sour cream and milk. Stir until dissolved well. Return to a simmer then serve.
3) Top bowls of soup with shredded cheese. Good with cornbread or rolls.
