CASTLE DALE, Utah (AP) -- A man has been charged with two counts of aggravated murder in the shooting deaths of his parents in Emery County.

The Emery County Attorney's Office on Friday filed the charges in 7th District Court against 26-year-old Peter Simon Sharp.

Sharp also is charged with one count of aggravated assault. He is being held without bail in the Emery County Jail and is due in court on Tuesday.

Emery County Sheriff Lamar Guymon says 51-year-old William Sharp and 54-year-old Charmaine Sharp were killed with a shotgun. They were found at their home in Castle Dale on Wednesday morning.

Peter Sharp was arrested while walking in downtown Castle Dale.

Court records did not list an attorney for Peter Sharp. A phone listing for the William Sharp residence had been disconnected.
