(KSL News) Skiers gathered this afternoon at Park City Mountain Resort to honor a fallen friend.
Brett Pendleton should have raced the Super G today. Instead, family, friends, and even his dog Dolly hit the slopes in his memory. Pendleton was killed Wednesday during a training run at the resort. A member of the ski patrol, Pendleton was well-known on the slopes.
Sadie Dahlsrud, Daughter: "If he was riding up on the chair lift with someone he would know everything about that person by the time they got off the lift, and he was best friends with them and that shows why there's so many people here today."

Following a moment of silence, about a hundred skiers headed up for the memorial run. His wife, daughters, and dog led the group down the hill.
Pendleton was an accomplished skier, winning a World Cup gold medal for paraskiing. He was 49-years old.
