An officer says he heard a couple "screaming for their lives", after Jamiyandorj Jigjidsuren kicked a hole in the bedroom door. Police say he threatened to kill his ex-girlfriend and her new boyfriend.

Jighidsuren was holding a large knife, and refused to drop it. The officer tased him, and the entire episode unraveled in front of the suspect's own son.

Teresa Gorriitti: "It's very shocking; to this point I'm very concerned about the safety of the children and also for her."

Teresa Gorritti: "He abused me in front of my children, and so there is no point I can go back with him, she said."

According to police, the couple separated last summer, but had problems as recently as two weeks ago.

Police say, on January 11th, Jigjidsuren showed up at his ex-girlfriend's home, wanting to fight her boyfriend. He broke their cell phones and took off when she called police. Neighbors hope his arrest will change things.

Teresa Gorritti: "I just hope that she can get back on her feet and just go back with her children."

Neither of the children were hurt.

Their mother had to get stitches on her arm; her boyfriend had a minor cut.

The suspect is in jail on multiple charges, including aggravated burglary and DUI.
