SALT LAKE CITY -- Everything from toilets to Michael Jordan trading cards brought some excited bidders to the Utah Fall Government Auction.
TNT Auction, on 2353 N. Redwood Road in Salt Lake City, sells surplus government property and seized police evidence.
Friday's auction included a large variety of police evidence, bicycles, computer and office furniture.
Mike McKee, chief auctioneer at TNT said, "Prices are down from the highs of recent years, and these government auctions provide a tremendous opportunity for buyers during these turbulent economic times."
Saturday's list includes cars, boats and heavy equipment, among other things.
"People come from all over the valley, or actually all over the country, and come in for these things once every three months," said McKee, "and you never know what someone is gonna want. It's pretty interesting."
Tomorrow's bidding starts at 9 a.m. and should last all afternoon.
