(KSL News) The South Salt Lake Police Department got a new chief.
Chris Snyder was sworn in today. He replaces former Chief Beau Babka. Babka recently joined the Salt Lake County Sheriff's Office.
Snyder has been with the South Salt Lake Police Department since 1991. He most recently served as assistant chief.
Mayor Robert Gray presented Snyder to the city council on Wednesday. He was supported unanimously by all the council members.
