SALT LAKE CITY -- A woman involved in a fatal crash in Rich County is now charged with automobile homicide.
The Salt Lake Tribune reports Chelsey Brown, 18, is charged with automobile homicide with negligence and DUI in connection with an accident that happened on July 25.
Prosecutors claim Brown was legally drunk and speeding when she lost control of her car and slammed into a utility pole.
A passenger in her car, 18-year-old Dacoda Sorochuk, was injured in the crash and later died.
Brown will make an initial court appearance on Oct. 13.
