SALT LAKE CITY -- Members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints can now purchase a new Spanish version of the Bible.
The LDS edition of the Holy Bible in Spanish contains new chapter headings, footnotes and cross-references.
LDS church leaders say the text of this Spanish Bible is based on the 1909 Reina-Valera Spanish Bible, which they, teams of translators, professional linguists and qualified Church members had reviewed.
Leaders hope it will help Spanish-speaking members develop a greater understanding of the Bible.
