TAYLORSVILLE -- A masked burglar is targeting Salt Lake County golf courses--four have been hit in the past two weeks. The latest burglary happened early Friday morning, and police have surveillance video of the thief.
Friday morning's burglary happened at Meadowbrook Golf Course in Taylorsville. Managers say the man took a vehicle out of the maintenance building before breaking in to the golf shop. They think he planned to use the vehicle to move the safe, but he was unsuccessful and left empty-handed.

Even though the surveillance video doesn't show the man's face, managers think the same man is behind all the burglaries because he's wearing the same clothes in all of them: blue jeans, a green sweater and a black mask.
"He seems to know the general layout, but that's as far as I think we've taken it. I'm not sure, but he seems to know the insides of the buildings," said Jerry Brewster, general manager at South Mountain Golf Course.
Surveillance video of a burglary that happened Sunday at South Mountain Golf Course in Draper shows the burglar going into an office in the golf shop. He's holding a sledgehammer and used it to break the glass on the golf shop doors.
The burglar pounded on the safe's handles, trying to open it, but was unsuccessful. He spent about three minutes in the office and gave up, leaving without anything.
Golf course managers are now installing additional security measures and say they would like to see this man caught. He didn't get away with any money in any of the burglaries, but he caused thousands of dollars in damages.
