Randall Jeppsen Reporting There will be plenty of New Year's celebrations to attend around the state. But did you remember to call a babysitter?

Most enjoy the sounds of New Year's, even if they are off key. But for babysitters like Lidia, she would rather be babysitting.

Lidia, babysitter: "Probably just use the money."

Who doesn't like some extra cash? And how much should a parent expect to spend to keep the kids home?

Lidia: "About four dollars an hour."

When looking online at different forums and classifieds, most charge a bit more, between seven to twelve dollars an hour. Parent Stacy Haskell says she almost feels guilty making someone stay home while she goes out to party.

Stacy Haskell, parent: "I would probably pay them a little more."

But if you haven't found a sitter by now, good luck.
