Randall Jeppsen Reporting There will be plenty of New Year's celebrations to attend around the state. But did you remember to call a babysitter?
Most enjoy the sounds of New Year's, even if they are off key. But for babysitters like Lidia, she would rather be babysitting.
Lidia, babysitter: "Probably just use the money."
Who doesn't like some extra cash? And how much should a parent expect to spend to keep the kids home?
Lidia: "About four dollars an hour."
When looking online at different forums and classifieds, most charge a bit more, between seven to twelve dollars an hour. Parent Stacy Haskell says she almost feels guilty making someone stay home while she goes out to party.
Stacy Haskell, parent: "I would probably pay them a little more."
But if you haven't found a sitter by now, good luck.
