NORTHERN UTAH -- This weekend's cooler weather has helped crews gain some ground on wildfires burning throughout the state.
The Big Pole Fire in Tooele County's Skull Valley is now 20 percent contained. It grew by about 120 acres overnight to 44,200, but crews expect to make significant improvements against it in the next couple of days.
Firefighters have contained another fire in Tooele County. The Settlement Fire, which broke out last week, still has a few hot spots. It has only burned about 150 acres.
Fourteen other fires continue to burn around the state. They've brought this year's total amount of land burned to nearly 193,000 acres.
