WASHINGTON, Utah (AP) -- Detectives continue to investigate the death of a 12-year-old girl after she was hit and killed by a truck in Washington County.
Police say Cheslie Jessop was crossing the street yesterday near a school bus stop when she was struck by a pickup.
Officers say the girl did NOT see the vehicle when she was crossing the street. She was rushed to the hospital, where she was later pronounced dead.
So far, authorities say it does NOT appear speeding was a factor in the crash.
