NEW YORK, Dec 15, 2006 (UPI via COMTEX) -- New York City go-go dancer Manuel Alex Saez is suing the popular gay magazine HX for printing an allegedly unauthorized picture of him.
The racy picture identified Saez as "Big City Video porn star Alex," the New York Post reported.
HX magazine, which bills itself as "the hottest guide to gay nightlife and culture in New York City," said, "He'll definitely get your sprinklers working" in the promo for Saez's appearance at a Chelsea club in the Jan. 27 issue.
Saez is suing the magazine for $1.25 million in damages.
Saez says he was "working at a popular youth-oriented retail clothing store" and working as a dancer at night when two club promoters asked for a picture to promote a party.
It was not until weeks later that Saez learned that the photo's caption called him a "Big City Video porn star who would be appearing at Splash," the Post said.
Saez said he was fired from his day job in February due to "gossip and innuendo."
